Drop Off & Pick Up Procedures

At Green Local Schools, our top priority is to provide a safe and secure environment for your child at all times. We strive to ensure the safety of our students during their arrival and departure from the building. Please take a moment to review the important safety procedures for parent drop-off and pick-up at Green Elementary School.

Arrival | Student Drop-Off

  • Begins at 8:30 a.m. Students are not permitted to enter the building prior to this time, unless attending the Y-Care program.
  • Please join our drop-off line in the front parking lot and wait patiently for the line to move forward.
  • Your child will be required to remain in the vehicle until entering the designated drop-off area. To maximize efficiency, please pull ahead to the furthest point along the curb. All students must exit the vehicle on the right-hand side onto the sidewalk, where they will be directed inside. 
  • Parent drop-off ends promptly at 8:45 a.m. All students are expected to be seated in homerooms by 8:45 a.m. Students arriving after 8:35 a.m. must be escorted into the building, and a parent or guardian must sign them in.

Early Pick-Ups

If your child needs to be picked up early, please provide a note in advance to alert teachers and office staff. Students should be signed in/out in the main office, and adults must present a photo ID when collecting them. It is crucial for us to know about any early dismissals beforehand.

For safety reasons, any changes to transportation at the end of the day should be communicated by 1:00 p.m. Please note that picking up after 2:45 p.m. will not be allowed. Parents are required to join the Bulldog pickup line and remain in their vehicles during this process. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Dismissal | Student "Bulldog Pick-Up"

  • All parent pick-ups will take place at our staffed, in-car "Bulldog Pick-Up Zone", beginning at approximately 3:15 p.m. 
  • If you are regularly picking up your child, please sign up to obtain a Bulldog Pick-Up Pass. More information regarding pick-up passes will be forthcoming. 
  • For safety purposes, parents are not permitted to wait outside the school or approach the pick-up area on foot. 
  • Remain in your vehicle and join our pick-up line.  Place your Bulldog Pick-Up Pass on your rearview mirror for visibility.  Pull up to the designated curbside area, then your child will be safely released to your vehicle.

Student Walkers

To ensure safety, students are not permitted to walk from the school campus.
